PAMP Suisse Gold Oval Pendant?

I saw these listed at Apmex in the 1 gram and 2.5 gram size. I know that isn't much weight - but was wondering if anybody had a clue what the dimensions on them might be? They are ready to put on a chain and wear as a pendant, and have a rose design, which really strikes my fancy.

If they're so small you'd need a magnifying glass to look at them, I suspect my fancy might turn elsewhere . . .

Anybody got a clue?

Yep, the 2.5's are very nice. My wife has a fortuna and a rose that she wears on thin gold chains. They are thin but not tiny by any means, the oval is 1 inch tall by a 1/2 inch wide. You will love it, she gets many compliments on them.
Apparantly women can spot 24 caret gold.

Thanks, Irons! That sounds like a nice size - big enough to see without being ostentatious.

I have a really nice 18K gold diamond cut rope chain that I bought on St. Thomas several years ago - this looks like it would be the perfect pendant to go with it.

Many's the time I've wished I had enough sense to buy more than one of those chains . . .

They also had a 5gm Fortuna- I snuck one in this year for the SO and also got her a thin rope chain to wear it on. IIRC it is about 3/4" to 1" long. The only downside is taking it out of the assay bubble but hey, its jewlery

the 5 gram Fortuna is worn by Christy Yamaguchi in a famous photo which I cannot seem to find...my GF is a former pro ice skater and I bought her one last Christmas, she gets a lot of complements...

I hadn't seen the 5 gram until after you mentioned it - now I'm feeling greedy, but trying to convince myself I'll be happy with the 2.5 gram pendant.

I've been drooling over those too. I'm wondering how the 1gm pendants would be as earrings, then a 5gm necklace to match. I'll probably have to skip it though...gotta feed the silver bug first.

Re: PAMP Suisse Gold Oval Pendant?

my gf is tiny, 5' 110 and the 5 grm is the perfect size, 2 1/2 grm I think would have been too tiny and the 10 too big but it's just MHO...

Great job finding the pic!:ok:

Just remember folks, those thing are so soft you can scratch them with a tissue when cleaning them. I found out the hard way, luckily I only wiped off the side with writing on it and not the rose side.
Dip in cleaner and rinse with warm water then hang to dry!!!!!:emotions16:

If it scratches that easily, I guess I'd better pass on it. I hadn't thought about that aspect - should have known better.

Clawdia I just looked at my GF's bar and after wearing it all most daily for 14 months there's not one noticeable hairline scratch, I think the bezel protects it very well. Irons is correct in cleaning it, she uses an ionic jewelry cleaner and lets it air dry...

A copper penny weighs 3.1 grams, but a gold coin the same size would weigh 6.2 grams. So a gram of gold is 1/6 the size of a penny.

I bought my wife a jewelry 1/2 sovereign 1907 for $100 and she JUST slipped it on - and she loves it.

I believe they make 14k ones too.

I've seen those advertised as well.

Those are pretty cool, I wish they made some a little more masculine.

I found a Pamp Suisse silver pendant on ebay.

I have a 1/10 Krugerrand in a bezel I wear sometimes on a flat rope, it's not chickish.

I have seen men wear gold bars in a bezel on a rope chain, not a Fortuna design but a plain Pamp/Credit Suisse or similar from 10 grms to 1 oz...Nothing feminine about gold bars...IMO

The bars aren't bad but I don't think I could pull off an oval rose...
